OAKVILLE, ON: The Niagara College Knights men's basketball team (6-6) travelled to
Oakville on Wednesday evening in an attempt to avenge their loss from earlier in the
season to the Sheridan Bruins (8-5). Their attempt was successful as they pulled off a
76-62 win in the Bruins' home gym.
This was another very back and forth game for the Knights where there were 6 lead
changes and 5 different times when the game was tied. The Knights took a small lead
towards the end of the 3 rd quarter; however, the Bruins got it back to within 4 with 2 ½
minutes remaining in the game. A couple of made free throws, a steal, and a huge 3-
point bucket from second year forward Riley Bleich gave the Knights the momentum
they needed to seal the deal.
Riley had a strong game overall, contributing 15 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Third
year Skylar Samuel made his own contributions of 17 points and 5 rebounds. And
returning veteran guard Reggie Williams is starting to get his groove back and added 7
points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
The Knights will look to continue the streak as they prepare for their next road match
against the Fanshawe Falcons. Tipoff is scheduled for 8pm on Wednesday, January
22 nd in London, ON.
