The field has been set and the province’s top eight women’s basketball teams will be competing for the OCAA Championship at Niagara College from March 3-5.
Four teams gained direct byes into the tournament following the conclusion of the regular season. The Niagara Knights enter the tournament as the host, while the Humber Hawks gained a berth as the West Division’s number one seed. From the East Division both the aforementioned Thunder and the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings gained entry as the division’s first and second seeds respectively. The Fanshawe Falcons, Lambton Lions, Mohawk Mountaineers, and St. Clair Saints earned their way in, all winning their qualifying games in the opening round of the playoffs.
All games throughout the event will be streamed live by students in Niagara College Broadcasting, Radio, Television, and Film department at www.goknights.ca/watchlive. Tickets will be available at the door for $8 per day or $15 for a tournament pass.
